Q: What is All 4 Mother Earth?

A: All 4 Mother Earth is a nonprofit organization created by elementary and middle school kids to help reduce food waste! Our goal is to help reduce food waste in our community and globally through education and awareness!

Q: Why do we need to reduce food waste?

A: We are glad you asked! According to the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP), 8-10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste. Gas emissions are bad for the environment so if we can reduce food waste, we can help Mother Earth. Also, many people go hungry from lack of food. If we can finds ways to reduce food waste and feed the hungry, it’s a win-win! There are many ways to reduce food waste. Explore our site for some of those ways!

Q: How can I get involved?

A: If you are a concerned citizen, thank you for your interest. There are many ways to get involved. First, learn about ways you can reduce food waste in your own home (freezing food before it goes bad, learning about food labels, starting your own compost bin, and many others! Don’t forget about our iPledge program!

Q: What is your iPledge program?

A: Our iPledge program is just that. A pledge from you, our solution seekers, on how you are making a change in your home or community. For example, you can pledge to educate your family on food labels in your home and save the foods that would normally be thrown out but are perfectly ok to eat! Another example is to make a weekly grocery list in advance for all the meals you plan to make. This way, you will only buy what you know you will use and not waste anything! This saves you money and reduces food waste. Win-win!
